In the summer of 1994, Doug Cranmer was Artist-in-Residence at the UBC Museum of Anthropology. Among the many projects he undertook during his stay, he collaborated with Eden Robinson (Haisla/ Heiltsuk Nation) on this sourcebook. Eden worked on the book intermittently for the next eight months while she was a Museum Assistant. She has a Master of Fine Arts degree from UBC, and is currently working on her first novel.
