Library

The Audrey & Harry Hawthorn Library & Archives is home to an excellent selection of research material that complements MOA's collections. The library collection’s strengths are museology, Northwest Coast material culture, and world ceramics and textiles.

Search our online library catalogue. When searching the library catalogue, always make sure the location is limited to "Museum of Anthropology Reading Room" to limit your search to our collection.

We are open Monday-Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. except for statutory holidays. We recommend researchers call ahead to let us know when you plan to visit as our hours are occasionally subject to change and research assistance isn’t always available during our open hours. Appointments are always required for archival research; to learn more about the archival collection or to book an appointment please visit the Archives web page.

All researchers are welcome to visit the Audrey & Harry Hawthorn Library & Archives. Library materials cannot be borrowed, but they may be used or copied within the Library & Archives (Copyright Act restrictions apply).
