The Collections Research Enhancement Project
In support of the Partnership of Peoples Project, the Museum of Anthropology is undertaking a significant initiative to improve both the physical and virtual access to the Museum's collections. In addition to managing the move of the museum's collections during the construction and renovation project, staff within the Collections Research Enhancement Project (CREP) will undertake a variety of initiatives to facilitate distance research including digitizing the collections as well as conducting an intensive survey to enhance the level of information available in the museum's collections database. Physical access to the collections for researchers and community members will be improved through the development of specialized object supports and mounts. The Collections Research Enhancement project involves four streams of activity: survey, mounting, digitization, and move.
