Instead of a paper catalogue, MOA produced an online webzine to accompany the exhibition "Border Zones: New Art Across Cultures," shown at the Museum from January 23 - September 12, 2010. Here you’ll find video interviews with the 12 participating artists, artworks exclusive to the zine, provocative reviews of the exhibition, and a blog devoted to the idea of borders.

On October 27, 2002, MOA and members of Vancouver's Muslim communities launched a website based on the exhibition The Spirit of Islam: Experiencing Islam through Calligraphy (closed May 12, 2002). Funded by the Department of Canadian Heritage, the website includes images, text, audio, and video from the original exhibition, enhanced by interactive features only the web can offer.

In October 2002, the B.C. Museums Association honored The Respect to Bill Reid Pole virtual exhibit with an Award of Merit for "outstanding, innovative, or creative achievement in the museum field." The exhibit, which was funded by the Virtual Museum of Canada, documents the carving and raising of "The Respect to Bill Reid Pole" by Jim Hart, which took place at MOA in 2000.

From June 10 to September 22, 2002, Tsimshian weaver William White from Lax Kw'alaams wove a Chilkat robe in the Museum as part of a "living" exhibition. In conjunction with his residence here, MOA created a website to document the weaver's progress, and to explore the significance of the Chilkat tradition.
