This Madrasa is a place of learning, discussion, and the sharing of knowledge.

Madrasa is Arabic for "to study" and is the name given to the schools that are typically attached to Masajid (Mosques) and Jamatkhanas. In the year 610 C.E., the first word that God revealed to Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) through the Angel Gabriel was Iqra! This is translated as Read! or Recite! Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) encouraged all Muslims to view education as a year-round, life-long process and to "Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave."

Today Muslims of all ages attend the Madrasa to learn about spiritual and worldly aspects of life - including calligraphy.
