Get Involved

Volunteers are needed for a variety of roles before, during, and after the event. The following roles are available to interested volunteers:

  • Greeter: Welcomes visitors and artists to WAM! and directs them towards the market, Museum, and various events throughout the day.
  • Receiver: Greets artists at the door, helps them transport their works to the receiving area, and assists them in filling out their entry forms.
  • Condition Reporter: Examines artists' entries for judging, records any scratches, loose parts, etc.
  • Judging Assistant: Assists the judges with their paperwork and helps assigning award ribbons and prizes.
  • Photographer: Takes photographs, including photos of artists, artworks, and workshops.
  • Administrative Assistant: Maintains of records, mailing lists, correspondence, etc.
  • Porters: Returns juried pieces to the artists.
  • Security: Supervises the tent, and keeps an eye on the perimeter of WAM!
  • Artist Liaison: Liaises with artists and MOA staff to ensure that artists' needs are met.
  • Information Desk (Tent): Be on hand to answer general questions from the public.
  • Refreshments (Artists): Offers and provides refreshments to artists as needed.
  • Traffic Director/ Wayfinder: Directs traffic, assists visitors in finding parking, and provides directions to WAM! events.
