Get Involved
Volunteers are needed for a variety of roles before, during, and after the event. The following roles are available to interested volunteers:
- Greeter: Welcomes visitors and artists to WAM! and directs them towards the market, Museum, and various events throughout the day.
- Receiver: Greets artists at the door, helps them transport their works to the receiving area, and assists them in filling out their entry forms.
- Condition Reporter: Examines artists' entries for judging, records any scratches, loose parts, etc.
- Judging Assistant: Assists the judges with their paperwork and helps assigning award ribbons and prizes.
- Photographer: Takes photographs, including photos of artists, artworks, and workshops.
- Administrative Assistant: Maintains of records, mailing lists, correspondence, etc.
- Porters: Returns juried pieces to the artists.
- Security: Supervises the tent, and keeps an eye on the perimeter of WAM!
- Artist Liaison: Liaises with artists and MOA staff to ensure that artists' needs are met.
- Information Desk (Tent): Be on hand to answer general questions from the public.
- Refreshments (Artists): Offers and provides refreshments to artists as needed.
- Traffic Director/ Wayfinder: Directs traffic, assists visitors in finding parking, and provides directions to WAM! events.
